Product Description
Thaddeus Banner (Gene Lockhart) owns the Brooklyn Loons pro baseball team which happens to be the league doormat. Needing inspiration to fire up his team, Thaddeus thinks he's found it when he befriends a feisty cat that beats up dogs. However, Banner dies, and in his will leaves most of his fortune to the team and the belligerent cat, Rhubarb, while practically ignoring his daughter Myra. Banner's press agent, Eric Yeagar (Ray Milland), thinks this is hilarious until he learns that he's the cat's guardian and business manager. This sets into motion a plot involving Yeager's girlfriend (Jan Sterling) who's allergic to cats, Myra who would like to see Rhubarb dead, court battles, baseball heroics and crooked gamblers. Watch for Leonard Nimoy of Star Trek fame as a young ballplayer.
